Direct Cremation

This simple, all-inclusive service is for a cremation without a formal funeral service- the body is simply picked up when the family is ready, cremated at our partnering facility in Ventura, and the remains are returned to your home in Ojai in a temporary urn. 

 Direct Cremation Package includes:  

• Funeral arrangements consultation remotely or at the family’s home 
• Filing of the death certificate and final disposition permits 
• Optional assistance (up to 3 hrs) and supplies for family directed after-death care in the home 
• Coordination with partnering crematory for removal, transport, storage, and cremation  
• Coordination of logistics for green burial including transport, storage, purchasing of cemetery plot, purchasing of shroud or alternative container if needed 
• Optional publication of an obituary on MarshallFuneralOjai.com 
• Optional publication of a death notice in the Ojai Valley News 
• Optional coordination of memorial tree planting with Ojai Trees (cost of tree additional)
